"I can't believe how strange it is to be anything at all."
-Neutral Milk Hotel

I think about the wonder of life and what it means to be a part of something universal. Are we in the midst of creation or destruction? Must something die in order for something else to be born? Where are we all in that cycle, and does it even matter? Maybe our ghosts only have power over us because we let them. Maybe we need them and would be helpless without them. I wonder what it would be like to travel back to the beginning of time as all these countless objects and ideas were coming into existence simultaneously and trying to find a way to coexist without getting in the way of something else, and sometimes think that maybe certain places or species are a mashup of previously specific individual ideas that crashed into each other at the moment of creation and weren't intended to be that way but now they carry the responsibility of being not only both original ideas but also the thing that has BECOME as a result of the mashup and I think, man that's a lot of responsibility for a thing to carry when it didn't even know it was going to be ANYTHING before it came from NOTHING.
